About Bucknell Parish Council and its meetings
Bucknell Parish Council is the first tier of local government for the village of Bucknell, a small village in North Oxfordshire a couple of miles north-west of Bicester. It is made up of local people who give their time to look after village matters and to speak up for Bucknell when decisions are made about it.
The council meets in public, and anyone who lives in or near the village can come along. This page explains when and where meetings happen, how to attend or speak, and how to raise something you would like the council to look at.

The parish council deals with village-level matters and represents Bucknell's views to other bodies. It also holds papers you can read, including agendas, minutes, finance papers and policies.

Some things are not the parish council's to fix. Potholes, road repairs, street lighting on county roads, footpaths and highways matters are usually for Oxfordshire County Council. Bin collections, waste, housing and planning decisions themselves are usually for Cherwell District Council. If you are not sure who to ask, email the clerk and she will point you the right way.
When and where the council meets
The Parish Council meets every two months, in January, March, May, July, September and November, on the second Monday of the month, in the Village Hall at 7:30pm.
The Annual Parish Meeting is held in May each year.
Occasionally there are additional meetings. These are publicised in advance on this website and on the village notice board at the Village Hall. If you want the exact date of the next meeting, check the agendas page or ask the clerk.

If it needs a decision, the clerk can put it on the agenda for the next meeting. Please send it in good time before the meeting so it can be included.
